Healing Arts for Haiti- BATA Art Benefit Launches

April 15, 2010

Ohio’s Buckeye Art Therapy Association (BATA) is launching an art sale fundraiser to benefit Haiti earthquake relief efforts.  To respond to Haiti’s needs in the aftermath of January’s earthquake, BATA’s Board of Directors decided that the Association’s service project this year would be to assist with this crisis by raising money through members’ art-making.  This service project is being coordinated with the leadership of Dayton art therapist Sara Jankowski, ATR-BC , who came to the BATA Board with this fundraising idea.

BATA members across Ohio have donated original art work for this sale in response to this important need. BATA’s Healing Arts for Haiti Online Art Sale starts today, April 15 until August 15 through the blog  http://batahaitirelief.wordpress.com

Donated art is on-line to purchase through PayPal and the sale is open to the public.  Art work ranges in price from $10.00-$50.00 and the donating artist pays for all shipping costs. Proceeds from BATA’s art sale will be donated to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund

Below are some of my collages that I have donated for the sale:
