21 SECRETS Art Journaling Show and Tell: Cathy Manus-Gray

September 8, 2011

This summer, the Art Therapy Alliance’s posterous started showcasing art therapist and art therapy student experiences from Dirty Footprints Studio’s art journaling workshop 21 SECRETS.  The art therapy community is really enjoying 21 SECRETS!!!

The Art Therapy Alliance’s most recent 21 SECRETS show and tell features Ohio art therapist Cathy Manus-Gray.  Cathy is a graduate of my alma mater Ursuline College and is an art therapist and counselor in the partial hospitalization and in-patient psychiatric departments at Aultman Hospital in Canton.  She is also a book artist and papermaker as well as an herbalist/aromatherapist who educates others about the joys and wonders of herbs.

Cathy has really been making her way through several of the 21 SECRETS workshops!  I’m so impressed and inspired by her art journaling experience so far, especially from the perspective of an art therapist.  Read Cathy’s complete interview via the Art Therapy Alliance’s posterous here.

21 SECRETS is an ONLINE, self guided, art journaling workshop where participants will receive the opportunity to learn different techniques, methods, and approaches to art journaling from a group of 21 artists until January 1, 2012. Registration is still open, but only until the end of this month!  Learn more about each workshop and how to register here.
